The mission of the First Baptist Church of Newland is to facilitate and endow a holistic, Christ-Centered ministry grounded in the truth of Holy Scripture.  In doing so, it is necessary to identify areas of focus, of which we believe there are 5 that are essential.  These areas of focus are Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, Evangelism, and Ministry (service).  It is essential to recognize the interconnected nature of these areas as they are all centered in the act of Worship.  We feel that it is essential for the Christian to reflect balance in all facets of life, and that is why each of our 5 areas of focus must be addressed on multiple levels (personal, communal, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and practical).  We believe this holistic approach is dictated by the Ministry of Jesus Christ and the truth of Holy Scripture.
